Not sure how to use the arpeggiator
« on: June 23, 2019, 02:00:15 am »
I've been trying this for weeks now.... still haven't figure out the arpeggiator.

My setup:

1. Ableton Live
2. MF init patch loaded in paraphonic mode
3. MF hooked up to the computer via USB, direct connection, (plus audio ofc)
3. MF sync source: INT
4. DAW Transport is running (but shouldn't matter because of #3)
5. playing a note one the MF works just fine (as it should), chords too

But when I follow exactly what's in the manual:

Quote
A fun way to start the Arpeggiator is to press and hold a chord after pressing the Hold icon.
When you now activate the Arpeggiator, it will kick in and arpeggiate that chord.

which basically is what loopop is demonstrating in his tutorial

I have these problems...

P1) I can't hold chords using the Hold icon, i.e. the hold function isn't working
P2) when I hold down a chord manually, the chord is arpeggiated only once, after that silencio!

Any idea?

thanks a lot!

FIXED: I had to re-install the latest FW.

Arp is now working.

thx

Haha I was way to optimistic I guess.

Arp has stopped working again.  Sometimes it comes back when I reboot the mF.
But the behaviour ist still erratic.

@Arturia please help!

I have noticed this behaviour in FLStudio as well. Sometimes it just "breaks" and you need to power cycle the MF and then it works again.

Arturia has been pretty silent since this thing came out. They put a quick firmware update to try and get the wandering knob issue fixed and then.. nothing. Did they drop support this quick or what? For such a widely regarded synth I would have expected multiple firmware updates and fixes by now and quick responses to threads. But.. nothing?
