Here's a very interesting comparison between the Arturia DX7 V and the "real thing":

The DX7 V often sounds remarkably duller than the original. Fortunately there is a solution (see the video to find out what it is). Perhaps Arturia should take a look at this.

There have been more thread about this wrong info based on a faulty video. There is nothing wrong with DX7, if you use it correct with the controller you use.
Piano Shack have mixed this up by first using a DX7 keyboard as a controller (It has a 0-100 velocity) and not a full 0-127 velocity keyboard. Then in a correct video you have to read the text for the video to understand, as Piano Shack forget to mention the important part in the video it self.

Here is 2 other threads about this (I think there is at least  one more in the forums.):
https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=92048.0#msg146599 - Include a link for another Piano Shack video (Arturia DX7 V vs Yamaha DX7 done RIGHT!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHycGwuWcn0), but please read the text to understand both in the threads and below the video.

I think Piano Shack should take the faulty video down, or make it very clear it's faulty. It's allways a good thing to test yourself too.

I emailed him about that, because I felt the same way. He said that it's still a valid video because some users could make the same mistake he did, i.e. assume the velocity is 0-100 like in a real DX7. But personally I think the erroneous first video is misleading unless the viewer realises there is a subsequent video which corrects his mistakes.

People can't do the mistake Piano Shack did, if they use a normal full range 0-127 velocity controller and use the preprogrammed velocity settings in Arturias DX7 V presets. Piano Shacks videos and text do not make that clear.

Oh wow. I'd watched that first video and found it rather interesting.
I had no idea there was a follow up video. Certainly gonna check it out now.  8)
