Knob 1+9 - Relative 1+2 - often wrong data sent out
« on: August 04, 2019, 01:06:43 am »
Hi, I've been using this controller for a while now, mostly for music, mostly with the pads, but now I use the unit to complement my mixing setup. I noticed bad data eminating from two of the knobs.

Both the firmware and Midi Control Center up to date. The OS is Windows 7 x64. The DAW in use is Reaper 5.981 x64.
First, a screenshot of the midi data capture by Reapers JS Midi Logger plugin, though I verified this in Midi Control Center as well.

The knobs 1 and 9 are set to Relative 1 (3Fh or lower for left turns, 41h or higher for right turns) in Midi Control Center. The data is "bd 08 xx" with xx being the data. Channel 14, CC8.

The displayed data of the log, starting at line 155(left most column) shows only LEFT TURN data. All data is in the xx=3Fh or lower range. However, this data actually represents several left and right turns of the knob.

The same happens in Relative 2 mode, and again, it only happens for Knobs 1 and 9.

Surely this is a firmware problem and can be fixed, right ?

Thanks for an otherwise fine product.

Turns out, the same happens with knob 5 and 10

So that's knobs #1 , #5 , #9 and #10 that send out wrong data, not all the time, but a lot of the time.

What can I do ?
