Question about modulation depth
« on: June 20, 2019, 04:11:29 am »
Is there a way to modulate the depth of a a modulation? Maybe I'm blind or something, but I'm using an LFO to modulate the fine pitch of a patch I'm using, but I'd like to use another LFO to modulate the depth of that first LFO. Is there a way to do this that I'm not seeing?

Hey !

You need to use what is referred as  "sidechain sources" for that.

For example, if you used LFO 1 to modulate the pitch, and plan to use LFO 2 to control the amount of modulation :

-Click on LFO 1
-Below the destination, click on "Sidechain"
-Choose the desired modulation source
-Set the sidechain modulation amount. A value of 1.00 makes the sidechain source modulate the complete modulation (meaning no modulation occurs if the sidechain source is at 0)

Hope it helps !

Best
