Velocity Question
« on: May 09, 2019, 05:24:11 pm »
I can't configure velocity to control volume effectively.

I can successfully route velocity to control Cutoff when I patch 'Velo/Mod 1' to 'Cutoff'.

But when I patch 'Velo/Mod 1' to 'AM' I lose gate. (Midi notes volume does respond to velocity but unfortunately plays back as a continuous drone.)

I assume I'm overlooking something really simple here?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks for reply Moho.

Unfortunately patching MIDI - Velo/Mod1 to ATTENUATORS - In 2 didn't work for me.

Also tried adjusting Att2-Amp knob while patched.

Did I do this correctly?

Also what is IIRC?

Hey !

IIRC means If I Remember Correctly

I had a quick try and a solution that seemed to work well is to patch the following :

AD Envelope Out -> VCA In 1
Velocity Out -> VCA CV in
VCA Out -> AM (AD) in

In this case, the velocity controls the amount of modulation of the AD envelope controlling the amplitude

Hope this helps !

Best,

Victor

Yeah I recalled incorrectly  :-[

Could have sworn there was an easier way but Victor is correct.
