solved how can i stop this
« on: February 25, 2019, 01:04:01 am »
Hii was using the wrong generic keyboard script

its now sorted

Im trying the Beta 2.5 B7  Bitwig Studio

I start with a virgin project
I create an Instrument track to record the midi information
I add hardware Instrument
then add to that an oscilloscope

then I start to play on my Matrixbrute and want to see the wave shapes
but as I turn the filter knobs on the Matrixbrute to alter the sound
it also alters the settings in the oscilloscope

This also happens if I use an audio track to directly record the matrixbrute

I have not added any midi learn to the knobs on the oscilloscope
so why is it doing this, and how can I stop it

any help much appreciated

Chers
Kev

I am not familiar with bigwig, bit there must be a way to filter MIDI coming into the system. Just turn off all those random CCs

Hey Kev,

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with bitwig either but my first assumption it's a defect within that version.  It sounds like a mismapped CC, where the filter knob is incorrectly being mapped to the oscope.  Can you modify the CC in the device panel mapping page?  Or opened a Bitwig support ticket?  In section 6 of the MB User Manual makes reference to CC values assigned to its controls.

Personally, I try to avoid Beta versions, unless signed up for regression testing.  Alternatively, you can try installing an earlier release, something that's more stable and not beta?

Hi
iv tried a few other devices Delay 2 etc etc
and it does the same on them  various knobs alter different things

I have never noticed this before as the MxB is my first
hardware synth

I cant twiddle without altering settings on devices

iv sent a support ticket to Bitwig

cheers
