Touch-screen Operation - Hit & Miss
« on: January 05, 2019, 03:05:48 pm »
Hi,
have you ever tried to operate Pigments on a laptop with touch-screen?
I run it on a Lenovo Yoga 920, runs like a charm, but using the touch-screen for the controls is frustrating: turning knobs works fine, selecting menus or power-toggles works randomly at best, ie you have to press the icons a few times until they react (or not at all). Even worse if you try to use a pen.

That's a pity since a touch-screen would actually provide the most immediate access to the otherwise great user interface. There are simply too many controls to map them in a reasonable way to any hardware.
Do you intend to refine Pigment's touch-screen capability?

Second request (also for the other V-Collection instruments): in addition to the fixed zoom levels, why don't you simply provide a full-screen option as any other software? For such a complex UI, full-screen is what you really want to use.

Regards
Willy
