Can somebody reproduce this sound? :)
« on: December 08, 2018, 09:48:01 pm »
Hey! Here is a question from a total newbe :D
Could someone please help me program this sound?  Its from Rock n roll children by Dio..
Im not certain but I think it might been played on a DX7..
I tried to find a preset both in the DX7 vst and rest of the collection to start as a working point.. But I guess its all a bit overwhelming :D

Regards
Gerry

Hi  :)
I know its a sound based on å string sound..
Im trying to reproduce the exact sound.. The fatness, sharpness, the smooth but yet destinct attack of the sound.
Ive gone through hundreds of sounds from the V pack but I can't even find a nice starting point and there are so many knobs for å newbie like me that I need to ask for help.
Cheers  :)

I'd start with the Saw Strings from the SEM and tweak that to get the right attack/decay/sustain. From there you need to roll the bottom end off, and to achieve that you'll need to eq the patch in your daw.
