I have put the beatstep back together for the moment, I am waiting for new FFC connectors, then I will reopen it and re-inspect the connections better and check continuity between the capacitor, the resistor and the USB plug. I supect there could be some small short or bad connection on one of the two D+ or D- wires...

I solved my issue by replacing the 2 resistors R22 and R23 using 2x 10 Ohm resistors, I connected it to my laptop and it was immediately recognized by Windows and MMC, upgraded to latest firmware....and so on...

Then I probably broke the small FFC cable I had fixed and now have the "ERR Od" again .... :-X

waiting for replacement cables to arrive from China....
But at least now I know it's working

I found this rant post regarding resistors value, somebody suggested using two identical 22 Ohm resistors, but I only had some 10Ohm lying around...and they worked perfectly !  ;D

Good news!
For your information, original R22 and R23 resistors are 22 ohms resistors.

I hope everything will be ok with your replacement cable.

Yes, it may work even without resistors but it is safer to use these resistors for signal integrity.

yes, I found the same info on reddit...I have plenty of SMD resistors but no 22 Ohm, 10Ohm works at the moment...
I will order some 22Ohm and then replace them ...

i resurrect this post just to say that I fixed my BSP. After the 10 Ohm resistors, I ordered some new FFC cables that never arrived from China. From that moment I never stopped looking for rubbish around me. Today I found a Fax Machine in a thrash bin...Luckily it had a 30cm. FFC cable, 12 pins, I stripped it vertically and replaced the broken one. BINGO !!!
