Using MiniMg v in acid pro 5
« on: April 20, 2005, 04:19:39 pm »
I am completely new to the scene of music creation and have just got hold of Acid pro 5, MiniMg V and FM7. I have created 5 or 6 songs in Acid through the use of sound loops but would like to add MiniMg and FM7 elements to these tracks and future ones. Unfortunately I am quite ignorant in how to do this at the moment and would appreciate some guidance on how to transfer/apply tracks from the Mg/FM7 software onto Acid. Any assistance (or directions to the best sites offering help) on this would be greatly appreciated as I am stuck.  Apologies for the lack of knowledge but and 'idiots guide' approach would be the best.

Many thanks, dasbootfish.

On Acid Pro 5.0,
you have to add a soft synth first...
Insert=>Soft Synth.

After that you have to enable a midi track, to insert some notes...

Read the Acid Pro 5.0 manual. It has a very good discussion of using VSTi with Acid Pro.
