I had the same problem, after testing the voltages at the rails with a scope and then the output of the "Golden Profit" switching power supply I came to the conclusion that the power supply is the culprit.

any filtering in the Rackbrute just lets it through.

there is an imposed 10mv 2khz signal on the output and this just gets pumped through the whole unit.
10mv seems small but I can hear it out the speaker easily.

returned the unit and just wait and see what happens.

anyways like I said I returned the unit.
