Keylab 61 Midi note velocity randomness
« on: June 18, 2018, 02:55:31 am »
Hello,
My Keylab 61 was working fine, then one day it had a problem.  Random midi notes are sent with very low velocities, 1-8 in level versus normal 88-127.  If i play one note repeatedly, it drops velocity randomly and sounds like morse code.  See attached Midi Monitor report.  This occurs on random keys all up and down the board, and random intervals.  This keyboard never leaves the studio and never gets traumatized.

Can someone please help me diagnose the problem?

thank you.

Hi,

the same happend to my studio keyboard. I had random values and some "skips" at some faders.
I was searching the net for the same issue and found a lot of other owners with the same problem.
I send my studio keyboard to repair. They told me something happend with a circuit board and they changed it for free.
This week it should come back and then iŽll check.

Cheers

I put mine away for a couple weeks, then decided to try it again.  I pulled it out and put it in the same spot, same cables, same computer, everything just as it was.  And now it is fine with no problems.  I just hope it lasts
