The new GUI size features are great.

It's great the lower toolbar allways is visible in the new applications.
Also the optimize size button is great to have.

It's also good there is a 50% size for those who still are using lower resolution screens, also even if the most important thing was to make the lower toolbar accessible all the time.

Hey LBH.  Where can I read more about these features?  I don't see manual updates, or writeup on the stuff youre talking about.  Thanks -

Hi JDoo.

You can see something is done in the release notes. If you click on an application in ASC you'll see the release notes.

Have'nt you noticed any difference?

How do you resize them? Just installed the update last night and many of the synth are now huge and I'm unable to get to the top toolbar where I used to be able to click on the name of the synth and resize it. As far as I can tell, it's totally inaccessible now.

Never mind. I figured it out. I had moved the old .vst3 files to a subfolder, so there were two versions installed simultaneously. Once I deleted the old .vst3 files, the GUI displayed correctly.

UPDATE: FIXED!!! 05/11/2018  :D

Original Post:
Thank you.  This was helpful and worked for us, too, on a Windows 7 system.  Something else happened, however, after upgrading Arturia Collection 6.  The NI Komplete Kontrol Keyboard S49 MKII no longer seems to function with the Komplete Kontrol software as it did previously.  Sound does come out of the keyboard, responsive to settings within Komplete Kontrol computer screen interface, but on the hardware keyboard device, almost all buttons including "BROWSE" are off, and the hardware keyboard screens just display KOMPLETE Kontrol.  Also noticed
1) In the top menu of Komplete Kontrol, under Controller, nothing comes up highlighted
2) In preferences dialog of Komplete Kontrol, under Hardware, nothing comes up (in NI documentation, hardware isn't even shown in screenshots)
3) In preferences dialog of Komplete Kontrol, under MIDI, the Kontroller MK2 does show up and is checked for INPUT

We verified running Komplete Kontrol in Admin mode, and the latest drivers and software and firmware.
It's sad to lose all that "integration".  Hope to get it back.

Saw another post on forum so tried a forced rescan to see if it could help...
https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=92727.0#msg149123

Unfortunately, that didn't work, neither did uninstalling, reinstalling drivers and software, nor switching USB ports, nor in the DAW.  Verified drivers, software and firmware latest up to date.  Still puzzled.

No response from NI since this happened; customer support numbers are disconnected/down; waiting on email support ticket.

For some reason Komplete Kontrol says Piano V2 plugin failed but others work inside the software without issue.  Piano V2 standalone works fine.

Tried removing registry stuff, then reinstall, no luck.
Found an NI uninstall registry tool: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/115005228309/NI_Uninstall_RegTool_64bit.zip

UPDATES:
Fixed!  Recovered Functionality.
After testing on a "virgin" Windows 7 system by installing NI FM8 + NI Kontrol Keyboard S49 MK2 Driver + NI Komplete Kontrol Software and having positive results with full functionality we confirmed the issue was configuration, not defective hardware.

We noticed a few differences in the setup/install process and took photos to document those differences (versus our "studio" Windows 7 system where it wasn't working).

We discovered that there were 2 services that needed to be running in Windows (Computer -> Manage -> Services and Applications):
1) NIHardwareService (c:\program files\common files\native instruments\hardware\NIHardwareService.exe) with Start= Auto
2) NIHostIntegrationAgent (c:\program files\common files\native instruments\hardware\NIHostIntegrationAgent.exe) with Start= Auto
Those were missing despite numerous attempts to (re)install software, drivers, etc.

To install the services we had to use a command prompt - run as administrator; we downloaded and installed svcstart.exe from http://www.rozanski.org.uk/software.

We issued a command:
SC CREATE NIHostIntegrationAgent Displayname= "NIHostIntegrationAgent" binpath= "c:\program files\common files\native instruments\hardware\NIHostIntegrationAgent.exe" start= auto

When it worked, we got a message of SUCCESS. It took us a few times to get it right after trying with INI files, but we checked services via msconfig and computer->Manage->Services and Applications.  We found it made it into services and applications.  We started the service.  Then we rebooted/restarted the computer.  Immediately the differences were obvious upon the next startup with extra lights.  When we ran Komplete Kontrol at that point, in the Controller Menu the device appeared.  We set things in preferences.  We loaded an instrument.  Everything was beautiful again, integrated at long last.  Notably, there was one thing different in Komplete Kontrol not yet figured out... there is a Hardware Tab in preferences on the "virgin" machine whereas there is none on the "studio" machine.  Maybe that will come back with Komplete Kontrol's next version due later this month.

NI sent an email response to our inquiry submitted by web after ~48hrs asking for more information such as photos, and sending links to pages we already visited trying to troubleshoot.  Will update them with the explanation.

Hope this helps others.
