Hi elrom10,

Which version of Cubase do you use? Do you work on Windows?
I remember there was issues in older Cubase versions regarding which Windows MIDI driver you were using. There was a file called "ignoreportfilter" or something like that to move somewhere.

Try looking over there:

Hope this helps.

This is call jitter and it is due to your PC, your drivers, your USB port. You will not fine a gear without jitter. Competitors usually do not display tempo while slaved, probably because of this. This is not an issue at all. Cubase is stable because it is Master (like BSP when BSP is master).

You must have some MIDI loopback or other issue in you MIDI setup. Your BSP pads may also be not well calibrated, but I doubt about it.

Do you have another MIDI gear to test if you are tight on the grid? Do you use MIDI or USB? Maybe it is just MIDI jitter you are experiencing.

Hi all first have you set up in cubase like my video here: https://youtu.be/OHODr7AKdic its for cubase 8 but it still works the same.

Also in cubase pref have midi thru active  and don't have BSP in and out on the same instrument channel  as it will loop back giving double notes.
