Is there a way to control the touch pad's colours with MIDI?
« on: February 22, 2018, 06:37:32 pm »
While my first application for my new KLE61 will be music production, I'm also going to use it as a light/laser show controller. In this context, it would be useful to map the pads to a couple preset colours in my light control software. Is there a way to send MIDI values to the keyboard to change the colours of the pads? I've noticed that sending MIDI notes over the main device will light up the pads in their preset colours which I can change with the MIDI control center (except to white?). But is there a way to send a colour (RGB value) regardless of what the preset colour is and if a note is being played?

Ableton Live Lite appears to be able to do it somehow. I expect the signals work with the second device (MIDIIN2) but don't know which messages to send.
