KeyStep function as midi interface In Cubase?
« on: February 09, 2018, 08:37:54 pm »
I'm using Cubase and have a Moog Mother-32 Synthesizer. I'm using a Line 6 POD HD500X as the audio interface. Using midi is kind of new to me but, i need to know if i can assign a midi track in Cubase and an audio track to record the audio from my Mother-32 while controlling the Mother-32 via midi with the KeyStep? Yes, i have the midi out from the KeyStep into the midi in on the Mother-32 with the KeyStep and POD plugged in via USB.

Thank you for help.

Study is the way!

You can turn on and off the THRU function on the Keystep, but I can't right now remember if it will THRU MIDI received on the USB port.  I'd like to say it does, but without testing or even looking at the manual, I don't want to say yes.  It definitely passes MIDI received on the DIN port THRU when that function is activated.
Currently running https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1311723 / www.modulargrid.net, sequencing with KSP and recording with a Zoom (no DAW involved, for better or worse ;) )
