Beatstep Pro Help Needed!--Pitch Tracking
« on: January 29, 2018, 11:13:52 pm »
Hey Guys/Gals

I've been having trouble with my beatstep pro for a bit now. I've done a lot of searching online to try to solve the problem but still haven't come up with a solution. I'm hoping someone here can lend a hand.

My Beatstep Pro doesn't track pitch correctly over CV. When I send 1v/oct to my Mother 32 the pitch drifts increasingly sharper as I go up in note values/octaves. I'll attach some pictures below of the intonation drift as octaves go up. My best guess is that this has to do with the fact that the Beatstep outputs are 0V - +10V and not -5V to +5V like i believe the Mother 32 prefers. Is this the issue? How should I solve the problem here? Attenuator or maybe open the Beatstep up to try to calibrate the CV (something like this https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-1e9zXr5JIlQ29DdklnaXNJdGM/view)?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi spenceman,
Have you got a voltmeter to check the BSP CV output?

Regards,
Y.
