One can append & replace but there is no way layer polyphony they only replace. Also you can add onto the sequence end but would be cool to insert notes at any point.

Eventhough the sequencer does offer some great features - most importantly polyphony - it really doesn´t quiet tap the full potential... This is one of the points.

This would open the KeyStep up so much more. With a key splitting program you could have multiple patches on one MIDI channel. You could record a beat, shift up an octave and dub in a bassline, shift up an octave and add a lead...
