Humming Steiner Filter
« on: April 07, 2018, 10:00:57 am »
Hey everyone,

this has been talked about before, I think,  but I am curious, if this is the same for all of us.

With all my OSCs turned down in the mixer (not being routed to any filter either, buttonwise), there still is a significant passing the Steiner Filter, when its cranked to max volume. Its only the Steiner, the ladder filter is clean.

Btw, its not that I forgot to turn down the Audio Mods, which can be a cause of confusion by times.

Do you all experience this?

Thanks!

The Steiner Parker filter does leak a little audio. With the osc mixer channels routed to the SP filter and the oscs cranked to max it's still quite low though, less than -80dB. If you switch off the SP routing and/or zero the osc volumes, it falls down into the noise floor at less than -96dB or thereabout and becomes inaudible. The measurements are quick and dirty and only meant as ballpark figures.
