Sequencer mode Midi out Velocity issues
« on: June 17, 2017, 09:18:59 pm »
Hey All,

Just got a beatstep the other day and I'm loving it so far. It seems very easy to use as a midi-sequencer to control my MPX16 by akai as a sampler/drum machine. The only issue I am having is that the midi signal being received by the MPX16 seems to at half of the velocity of the pad normally (even though I've turned velocity off on the MPX16). This makes any additional hand drumming super noticeable.

In order to combat this, my additional drums are set on other pads with the volumes turned down but it's quite annoying that I can have the pad set up I had previously.

I've looked into the Midi Control Center and I'm a little confused as nothing I seem to do fixes the issue. The velocity control on the program seems to be for the pads in control mode.

I'm not even sure if the messages being sent by the Beatstep is the issue, but it seems very strange.

Any ideas? ???
