Where are voices 5, 6, 7 and 8?
« on: May 25, 2017, 11:54:26 am »
This image from Arturia's CS80 page shows the Multi-mode screen.
Where have voices 5, 6, 7 and 8 gone to?   :o

Cheers Jeff

Sorry - not sure i understand?
CS-80 V2 also had 4 zones. I suppose V1 also only had 4 zones.
Your image i quite normal to me. What to look for?

LBH, you're right. I meant to make this "where are voices 5,6 ,7 and 8." I'll update the heading.

No worry Jeffbart. This happens to all of us.  :)

Regarding the voices, i still don't think i understand. I could ask you - where do you find the voices 1-4?
To me CS-80 have 8 voices that you can make active or not in the Multi setting panels two voice coloumns by assigning a voice to a Zone or to Off. And then you have the voice multiplier in the bottom panel to extend the 8 voices.
Do you find more to this?

I can get confused. Also when reading manuals that's not allways clear and/ or correct. I don't find the CS-80 multi feature easy to understand and use.

it's just a trivial GUI issue. Look at the image.
Both sets of voices are numbered 1,2,3 and 4. The Second set (to the right ) should be numbered 5,6 7&8. I'd say it's a cut 'n' paste error.

Ahh - a GUI thing. Yes. I hav'nt noticed that. The numbers to me are so hard to read that i hav'nt bothered to much to try to read them in my GUI. Even when i have seen them, then i have not seen it as an issue. But yes you'r right it's two time 1-4 instead of an exspected 1-4 and 5-8. And for understanding i agree 1-4 and 5-8 would be better to have.

Cheers
