Beatstep Pro - Tweak [ALL] notes at once shortcut
« on: May 14, 2017, 05:23:58 pm »
Hi There,

Something that is frustrating is having to change all notes in a sequence by manually tweaking each controller to drop down a few semi tones.
eg I have a melody line in G I extend the part by copying the 16 steps then I want to tweak the notes down to D - This is when I have to tweak each controller which is time consuming. Is there a 'shift' short cut to tweak all notes at the same time?

Transpose with transpose latch on.  Save.  This works in the same fashion as gate or velocity shift, which is why there is no note shift, but is not a solution to the above question.

Just reread your question.  There is no easy way to transpose only 16 steps of a 32 step sequence.  Even if there was a note shift type function that work like the gate and velocity shift work (press and hold shift then turn the related knob), it would still transpose the entire sequence, not just the 16 steps you are focused on.

Currently running https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1311723 / www.modulargrid.net, sequencing with KSP and recording with a Zoom (no DAW involved, for better or worse ;) )

Hi mrvinyl,
You can split your 32-step long sequence into two 16-step long sequences. This way, you will be able to transpose 16 steps only. Then you create a chain with your two sequences.

Best,
Y.
