Replacing Encoders
« on: May 08, 2017, 02:32:21 pm »
Hello,

I recently purchased the Beastep. Pads and sequence mode are awesome, but the rotary encoders kind of suck... They are way too slow. The acceleration is awful as well.

I googled this and found many people complained about this already. There is a software fix to make a change of 1 into 2-3-4-5 or whatever, but this decreases resolution.

Can I simply replace the encoders with some other, faster ones? I have some soldering experience, it shouldn't be that difficult if provided with what encoders to use?

Cheers!
