Triggering sequence from DAW - start point?
« on: April 30, 2017, 12:57:18 pm »
Hi guys

I have a sequence set up on MB.  I want to trigger it from my DAW. This is working just fine, expect that the triggered sequence does not begin at note 1.  It begins at a random point in the sequence, as if in the background on the MB the sequence is constantly running, and then when the MIDI note is triggered from the DAW, the sequence becomes audible from the current note on the sequencer.

Hard to explain...hope that makes some kind of sense!

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Richard

PS For now, I'll just record a long loop of the sequence and then chop/move it so that it lines up with my track...

Hello.

Sorry for the delay.

> Have you tried to trash Pro Tools ?

To do that, check this article: https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/how-do-i-trash-my-pro-tools-preferences/

Let me know if it solves that behaviour.

Best Regards.

Thanks, I can try this but I am always reluctant to mess around too much with Pro Tools...

Is there anything particular that makes you certain this is the right course of action?  THANKS!
