turning on and off MIDI send notes
« on: March 07, 2017, 01:09:08 am »
Hi There-

Brand new to this DrumBrute and trying to figure out if I should keep it or go for a BeatStep Pro.  I like some of the sounds in the DrumBrute, but I'd love to be able to trigger, for instance, my ms20 for the hi-hats instead of the Brute's.  Is there an option that would allow me to ONLY send notes from the hi-hat 'channel' out through 5-pin MIDI, so that I can basically use that pad (and its corresponding role in patterns) as a trigger for a different hardware synth?  I'm a little confused by the MIDI control center, and am getting a lot of error messages saying I can't update the firmware.  (Running a recent enough OSX.)  It's cool that this can be used as a sequencer for another synth, but it's pretty useless if the only option is to have the other synth 'play along' to every instrument in the pattern...
