RECORD SEQUENCES "AS PLAYED"?

can you record sequences live "as played", like in the demo? or is he using live to record?

likely not.. its a step sequencer which means you need to enter notes and timing information seperately.
If you get good with it (this type of sequencer)  you can eventually get close to reproducing what you visualize in your head but its rarely exactly what you want,  the beatstep pro does what you want but the keystep is supposed to be simple step seqencing only.
