BSP drift and wonky timing in Ableton Live
« on: October 12, 2016, 06:47:11 pm »
Hello,
if i record a pattern from the BSP via USB or MIDI into Ableton the notes are pretty wonky.
Especially the first note/step is mostly more behind.

You can make it hearable if you make a MIDI Track in Ableton and choose BSP as MIDI input.
Then create a 4/4 kick pattern and send it with Auto setting to an external drummachine.
Enable "record" in the MIDI Track so the BSP notes gets also send into the MIDI Track.
Now create on the BSP also a 4/4 kick pattern and match the BSP output in Abletons Midi Clock Sync together

It is impossible to have a good timing - BSP drift always back and forth
You can even see it if you record a pattern into Ableton and zoom into the Clip/Notes...
