[Solved]MIDI thru?
« on: July 09, 2016, 03:14:28 am »
I just updated my firmware and noticed there is a 'MIDI Thru' feature. I enabled it, but no midi messages from my BeatStep Pro were passing through. Is this feature non-functional, or just a not a true midi through option? I'd kill to be able to link my BSP and Keystep without a midi merger or another midi splitter.

Hi,

With the MIDI thru feature, if the Keystep receives a MIDI message on a MIDI channel that doesn't concern it, it should send it directly to the output.

Make sure that the BSP and the Keystep aren't set to the same MIDI channel

Thank you very much, both devices were on channel 1. I changed them to channels 11 and 12 respectively and it works perfectly. Now I have a spare space on my midi splitter for the Volca FM!
