Please help me understand mapping beatstep to volca beat
« on: April 05, 2016, 07:49:39 pm »
Greetings,

I am a novice when it comes to any type of mapping.

I would like to trigger the volca via the beatstep. How do I go about it? I have downloaded the Midi center control. Do I map and assign each pad to channel ten? How about the "global channel"? Why are there two channels- is it for sending clock and the other one for messages?

I would appreciate a little direction?

Much appreciate your help.

Thank you

Set the MIDI channel of the Korg Volca Beats to channel 10. So that it matches the Beatstep Pro's default MIDI channel for its drum sequencer. The volca should hear the BSP.
How to do this is in the manual. http://i.korg.com/uploads/Support/USA_volca_beats_OM_EFGSC.pdf

Someone's listed the notes the volca uses for its voices too http://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=85097.0

Hello,
in Midi control, i can not figure out how to map beatstep's knob to volca beats' parameters (like decay or PCM speed)
Can anyone help me?
