Can I convert Model-E presets to MiniMg-V
« on: February 02, 2005, 01:31:06 pm »
Hi to all. I purchased the Model-E plugin a few years back and also the Rick Wakeman presets. I love the Arturia version of the Mini and would like to convert the Wakeman presets. I have tried opening both plugins in Sonar and tried manually to mimic the settings but I have had no luck. Sometimes it does not sound anything like the original. Is there a conversion program or another method?

Thank you,
John

No, the Model-E structure is close to the miniMg one, but is not exactly the same.
Moreover, tuning and knob position relative to the setted value are not the same on the two synths.

Thank you for the reply. The Rick Wakeman presets are the only ones I like playing on the Model-E. Some have the name of the song in the title. They would have sounded much better on the MiniMg-V.

This is a fantastic piece of software. I no longer look on Ebay for an original MiniMg. This did the trick!

Thank you,
John
