Author Topic: [SOLVED] Registration/activation is a complete nightmare...PLEASE HELP!!!  (Read 3508 times)

Hello all,

I recently purchased a Spark LE Creative Drum Machine form a private seller on Ebay.
The listing said it was in like-new condition, in the package and had a clean license.

I received it quickly after the purchase and sure enough it looked to be in pristine condition, in the package with USB cord, carry case and manual included, as well as the software CD. The serial number on the controller and the book match.

However, when I tried to load the software and get it up and running, the passcode (located under the serial number in the inside cover of the user manual) would not work. I contacted the seller, and he and I have been exchanging emails over the past three days trying to resolve the issue. He contacted Arturia and got back to me today with this:

Ok, so Arturia responded and here's what they said. Let me know if this works:

The activation code is not used anymore except for Windows XP and OSX 10.6

Here's how to proceed in order to install your soft on a new computer without activation code:

1) Download the installer of your instrument + The Arturia Software Center (ASC):
http://arturia.com/support/updates&manuals


2) Install your software and the Arturia Software Center.
Open the ASC, type your Arturia's login and password, and click on the 'Activation' button located next to your instrument.


3) /!\ /!\  Then update your instrument through the ASC  /!\ /!\
--> Or it will keep asking for an activation code


4) Finally you can try to open your software. It should work perfectly if you didn't skip any step. (Don't forget to update step 3)

(please note that these are the seller's words, not an actual email from Arturia)

So, I downloaded the Arturia Software center and tried to proceed, but when I got to step 3 I am stuck -right back where I have been from the moment I tried to run the software the first time -they are asking me for my serial number and unlock code, again.

I can't send a help request to Arturia because I don't technically own a product/license/whatever.

I'm at my wit's end, after three days of trying to do this I have only succeeded in establishing a username and password.
If I can't get a definitive answer I will have to return the Spark to the seller.

Hi.

Sorry for this inconvenience, but no worries, it will be easily resolved.

First please you have to register your product on the website.

1/ Go to Arturia's Website -> -> My Arturia -> My products

2/ Click Register a New product

3/ Choose you product and write the Serial & Unlock code.

---> Your product should be registered.

If you have problems to get your unlock code or keep getting an error message when entering the codes, create a ticket on the support section and give me the ticket number by pm.
I will ask you a proof of purchase to be sure that you are the owner of the product.
Then I will send you your unlock code, or just correct the issue which can be due to the former user who may be still registered on your license.


After that, if you installed with the DVD, you are probably owning the Spark version 1.6.

== >>> You need to update it to version 2,1 in order to activate it with the ASC.
           If you don't, an activation code will be asked, and we don't use it anymore.

To update, you can proceed through the ASC (which allows you to download the latest installers) or you can go to our website,
and directly download the latest installer: http://www.arturia.com/support/updates&manuals

Come back to me to get your Unlock code.

NOT SOLVED.

I DON'T HAVE A WORKING UNLOCK CODE.

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY THAT, AND TO HOW MANY PEOPLE?

Sorry for the frustration Edouard but this is maddening. The former owner has also been in contact with someone from Arturia named Edouard, I'm assuming that's you?

His name is Donovan, I don't know his last name but he sold the Spark through Ebay.

If you can check with him maybe you can verify that HE purchased the product legally and then sold it to me, and then send me an unlock code that will work....please?

I"m the one who sold the SparkLE to Capslock. I unregistered before selling as you can see in the support ticket.

Thanks for weighing in.

Just to clarify the situation, because I know you had asked me before, I could NOT send a request for a unregistered product.
When I tried to send it it just brought me to a blank page that said file not found, I'm assuming because I left the space for the unlock code blank.

Hello.

There were a bug on this license.

It was at the same time registered & unregistered. So it was kind of conflictual.

The YT team is on it, It will be solved in few minutes.


About your request, yes you must have left a space somewhere. So it didn't work.

Hi, maybe you can help... I bought last week a minilab mk2 brand new  from Arturia's dealer in Peru. I've been trying to register with serial number and unlock code provided but keep receiving an error message because I didn't complete all the information, however, there's no place in the registration page to enter more information.
I attach the pictures from the registration page and the error I receive. In the manual it appears an image of the registration page where I should be able to select the product to register, however, that field does not appear in the online page.
Arturia's support is not answering my support requests since Wednesday.
I attach a picture with the online arturia page and the error message.
