Review of Matrix 12 V (as M12 Keyboard owner)
« on: March 16, 2015, 12:59:26 am »
Hi folks
thought you might like to read my relatively brief review of the Matrix 12 V (hint - it's positive).

I own a Matrix-12 keyboard, and have been M12 fan since the mid 80s.

Share and enjoy:

this is not an in-depth technical -- how can I crash it - or wave form scope comparo thing. But overall really really impressed.

Photo of my "real" M12 is found at top of the above article page :-)

Nice review. I see you noticed the same thing I did with the volume differences between patches; some of them can be way too quiet. It's a deep synth that takes time to learn. I never had the money back in the day to get one in hardware; paying off college student loans was the priority at the time.

Good review! As a former owner of a Matrix 12, I agree with your assessment. The Matrix 12v is 95% there, and truly, when in a mix you'll never know the difference. I've heard people say the vst is not a warm sounding, not the same, I can only think that they've never owned one or had any significant time with the actual synth, because if they did, they wouldn't be as critical as they are.
As a former Matrix 12 owner, I am very satisfied with my new Matrix 12v.
