Unfortunately update doesn't include any substantional changes
Just minor Bug Fixes and small improvement
Very frustrating :

Spark2 release notes
V 2.3.0
Features

*User can import and export presets with iSpark
Fixed Bugs

No more crashes when hitting Tape 8 slicer multiple times
Original project maintained when exporting projects that include AIFF samples without the .aiff extension

Improvement

Factory samples are included in project export

This? THIS is an update?  ???
<sigh>
C'mon Arturia. What's the REAL status and situation with Spark2.
Please tell us right now if your intention is to charge us for a REAL update. If so, I'll have to start saving up. I sure hope you don't tho, because Spark2 really needs some fixing. Fixing that all current owners of the software deserve to have without charge.

Come on Arturia....Improve the basic stuff for workflow and basic improvements that are written all over the forum!   Bravo for the bug fixes last year but there are still some easy fixes that need to happen...

I have seen that you guys updated most of the products this month...Should we wait for a Spark update too??

The jog wheel works fine for me just press the select button while moving the wheel to change from kits or projects /instruments .
As to the tune mode its just as easy to change the tune using arrow buttons as you can still play the range on the pads.

The only way I can switch between the Library sections is if I am actually looking at the library screen in the software, then using the Select+Jog Wheel. This is contrary to what the manual says.
Using the Jog Wheel to change range in Tune Mode would be much quicker than repeated hitting the << and >> buttons. Those buttons work, but it's inefficient, plus it didn't use to be that way -- as per the manual. Seeing as the functionality was previously there, it was non-sensical to completely remove it in favor of the << and >> buttons. BOTH options should be available.

Those who have updated did you do it via the ASC?  I keep getting an error even though it looks like the file has download correctly size wise.
This post may or may not contain errors of an indeterminate nature.

Hi go to your download folder you can find it in the setting of the ASC  find the spark down load and install it if it fails to install you know its a bad download . but i think its just the Asc at fault.

Why do you expect any fixes for Spark 2? I guess this version has been abandoned just like the rest of the Synth Collection 4.

It works, as in it moves. But it's A, very slow to react. B, sensitive and easy to open kits that aren't needed, and C, needs two hands to scroll through the plethora of menus. Which even then it does't do that successfully.

Once a kit has been opened, it stays on the library. Why do we want that to happen? It should ideally return to the screen you were on or return to the main GUI.

It also only works for one action, whereas on the software you have two actions (either side of the large jog whee itself). This used to work in a previous version but has since been removed for whatever reason.

It's true that the jog wheel could be used for lots of actions, it the biggest freakin' knob on the board for one which draws our eyes to it, meaning it also draws our hand to it by default. The fact it only does 1 thing, and at that not very well is somewhat baffling.

Rather! ;)

And now that they've announced the Drum Brute, I fear for the future of the Spark software ... as in abandonment, like their Origin hybrid synth.

Sadly, perhaps now Spark is dead.

Drumbrute is, after all exactly what spark should have been but with real sounds. A more hands on less 'look at a computer' experience

But this is the evolution of a company and it's ideas, you can't knock that.

Thanks, Stuart

I would also like to know if there will be a "V Collection 5" style update for the SparkLE (or other Spark breed, willing to pay for upgrade) software, I am especially interested in support for high resolution monitors.
