Disable chord pads (keylab 49)
« on: December 11, 2014, 11:08:34 am »
Im considering buying keylab 49 (sorry for my ignorance since Im obviously not able to test out things myself).
I would like to use the pads to trigger samples. As I understand this should work since they send midi which can be picked
up by other applications.
Im not so interested in the chord-function of the pads. What Im wondering is weather its possible to turn off
the chord function somewhere so that I dont get synth chords every time I try to trigger a sample. At least in
Analog Lab software there doesnt seem to be an option to choose "no chord" (only various chords)
The idea is to have the keylab as a live instrument where I can both play the synths from v-collection and
trigger samples from other software.

You can reprogram the pads to go to any midi channel/cc that you want with the Midi Control Center.  Analog Lab is looking for specific notes on midi channel 10, so if you assign the pads to something else other than those notes it would disable it.
Hardware: Keylab 49, MicroBrute, BeatStep, SparkLE, Spark

Software Synths: V-Collection 4 Update, SynthMaster, Massive, Hive, Serum, Enzyme

DAW: Bitwig Studio
