Saving individual sounds in Spark 2?
« on: May 06, 2014, 07:23:00 pm »
Please forgive me if this is a daft question, but how do I save an individual sound in Spark 2 once crafted for later recall?
Is it a case of saving a whole kit in order to access individual pads in new projects?
Many thanks

don't think you can save individual patches. you must save as a project/kit. you also can't load individual instrument patches either. afaik.

Hi,
yes you have to save the whole kit and then you can recall individual instrument from the library.

What?! I am finding this infuriating. I don't understand why I can not save individual instruments into my user bank.
So I make a kick and I want to save it into my user bank for later but I have to save the whole kit agggghhhhhhh! I just want the kick not the rest!

Digging around in the presets find a nice kick then tweak to taste save for later. But then I am saving 15 other instruments in the bank. My version of Spark 2 is the last MacOSX10.8 version and I am not sure the library is filtering. If I filter USER and BASS DRUMS I see all the instruments still. Madness.
What IS the workflow for this? What am I missing?

this gets worse the more I try and get my sounds organised, it doesn't even name the instrument, you end up with names from the original kit even if you renamed the kit

I need to be able to save a kick with a unique name is that too much to ask for? It is taking forever to get just ONE kit together as every time I make a sound I like I have to save the entire kit with all its instruments and I cant even name an instrument. If I had know this was going to be so painful and very time consuming I would not have bought this.

I really hope I am missing something or else I am selling it straight away.

How do I save all my kicks in one place labelled without all the other instruments in that group saved with the kit? Mental. Impossible to work like that. Very disappointed and has stifled my motivation completely with this product. too much work to get just one kit together. Arturia should have marketed this as a preset machine only.
So for example if I save a kit because I tweaked a kick I like I then see four kicks and none of them are labelled the same as the kit. This is terrible. Which is the kick I made?
