Spark 2 Upgrade Pricing from VDM, EDM or Dubstep?
« on: April 30, 2014, 07:16:07 pm »
Is there going to be discount pricing for users of the other specialized versions of the Spark software?

Spark users get the update free, new users introductory at $129. Seems like there should be some other middle ground for upgrading as an owner of VDM, EDM or Dubstep, yes?

I was wondering the same thing. Would seem a little unfair if there was not an upgrade for the users of VDM, EDM and Dubstep.

Hello Jony and TagBass,

Spark Vintage/Dubstep/EDM users will receive this week an e-mail with the info they need to upgrade to Spark 2.

Basically, you will have to log into your account and copy a coupon code to be used in the Arturia webstore. The upgrade price from Spark Vintage/Dubstep/EDM is 69$/€.

All the best,

Denis

Cheers

But there is no personal offer if I want to upgrade from VDM/EDM/DDM to Spark Le ?
If I want the hardware controller too , I have to buy the €199 package ?

Hi,
the answer is no. Spark VDM/EDM/Dubstep won't be updated to 2.0.

Yes, remember that 199$ is already lower than the original price of SparkLE :).

Ok ! So the best deal is to upgrade the software and buy a beatstep as a controler ;)

Beatstep is not a replacement for Spark Hardware, one of the things which makes spark great is that the hardware is directly connected to the plugin and most things can be achieved without touching the mouse, and also because they are directly connected it isn't using a routed midi channel in your DAW as with usual Midi devices/Plugins, Spark hardware always plays spark regardless of whatever else you are doing in your DAW which is really good imo :)
