Let me be more specific & break down my previous two questions into two separate posts...
I send a MIDI control message 7 with a value of 0 to the Origin. The given part volume is set to 0 as expected. However, the volume control knob on the mixer now has no effect on the part volume. I send a MIDI control message 7 with a value of 127 to the Origin and the part volume comes back, and now I can adjust it with the mixer knob.
I get the same effect/problem if I assign the Prog : OUTPUT LEVEL parameter to a MIDI control number in the Origin and then use that control number for my DAW output.
What I want to be able to do is set the volume level of the part to an initial value from my DAW and then modify it from the Origin control panel.
Is this possible?
