Not Sure What To Buy
« on: April 11, 2012, 03:20:01 pm »
Hello friends at the Arturia forums,

I'm interested in buying an Arturia synth plug-in for Sonar in the analog classic line, but I'm not sure what to buy.  I'm looking for the top of the line softsynth with all sounds included and fully customizable. What should I get?  I already have a MIDI controller (Edirol PCR-800).  Is a USB dongle required for the software to function?  Thanks

the laboratory sounds are good. but the software itself does not work very well. everybody has been waiting for updates since its release. better check the forum before buying.

@CarvinAbuser

If you're searching for a fully costumizable suit, you should buy the whole V-Collection 2.

The Laboratory is newly included, as far as I know. To ensure that you'll get what you've expected download the demo version here and try it! If you have questions about it, contact one of the admins on this forums.

A USB-dongle is not required, but I guess it's deliverd with the V-Collection 2. If you don't want to use it, you can also transfer the license to the soft-eLicenser installed with the software, but I recommend using the dongle.

Thanks for the responses.  I'll try out the demo.

Having trouble with the demo... it works fine for a few minutes, something pops up for a fraction of a second, no more sound, and Sonar stops responding.  Any help would be appreciated.

First, I don't know much about Sonar, as I don't use it. I use Ableton Live 8.
Second, the whole case is depending on your system requirements and of course your OS and audio-device.

Now, I can't help you out here.

Sorry...

Win XP SP 3
4 GB RAM
3 GHz AMD CPU
Roland Octa Capture Interface

This hasn't occurred before with any other soft synths running in Sonar.
