can arturia laboratory keyboard be used with origin?
« on: February 12, 2011, 12:52:46 pm »
obviously I know it can be used as a general midi controller, but is it possible to use some of the rotaries...etc to control origin params, such as being a second oscillator area for example.

On the Arturia Laboratory you can assign a MIDI CC number to each knob and slider with the MIDI control center. And on Origin (in the Live/MIDI page) you can make a MIDI mapping where you redirect these CC numbers to any parameter you want in the patch. So yes, you can have a second oscillator area for example. But there will be two differences:
- Unlike when you turn an Origin knob, the parameter's value won't be displayed on the bottom of the screen
- Changes won't be saved in the patch
