analog activation
« on: August 10, 2009, 06:50:17 pm »
Thank you Antoine for sending me new activation code   Ive put it in and Analog Factory is working fine now  Just one more query  You say i should get a dongle and put licence on it for back up in case computer crashes again which i am going to do   Now is this a special dongle that i get only from arturia or syncrosoft or can i use any usb stick as i have plenty of them.  Also when i transfer licence on to dongle I  presume i will have to reinstall it back on to hard drive as it will no longer be there after transfer   Is this correct?  If usb stick is no good where can i purchase correct dongle and how much does it cost

The USB-eLicenser hardware dongle is a specific device, with embedded cryptography and other funny things inside; don't confuse it with a common mass storage USB device!
You can use Arturia, Syncrosoft, Steinberg, Korg... or any other branded device, provided it is the correct type: USB-eLicenser. Don't confuse either with other concurrent (therefore incompatible) protection devices, such as PACE iLok or Nalpeiron.
This is available through our online shop (then consider shipping time and cost from France), or from any decent music shop near your studio; it is often called "Steinberg Key" as used since years by this famous editor.
You will be able to store your license onto, temporarily or permanently, depending on your best comfort/security consideration.
Hope this helps,
Antoine.

Hi , I just buyed Analog Experience and wish to use it 1) on my macbook when traveling, 2) on my PC in my home studio.

I understand I have to buy a key to store my license for that, is it okay if the software has already been installed on the macbook ?

Yep, simply follow the License Transfer process.
