A couple of questions concerning polyphony
« on: August 02, 2007, 04:40:08 am »
Hi
A question concerning polyphony.....
If on the Origin, one was to use the CS80 program, would it use 2 oscillators per note regardles of mix I/II position? or could it be halved to operate like a CS60 with only one panel active??? or 1 voice of polyphony per note???
If so.... Wow :)

Second Question... is The Detune panel as on V1.6 (1-8 ) accesible to detune individual oscillators ...

this scenario would give us the ability to have a 4 panel CS80V out of the "4" instruments(totaling 32 voices), each with individual osc detune.... wouldnt it?

If that was the Case, would the Origin front panel be able to simotaneously control the master settings(Ring mod, Sub osc, Brilliance portamento sustain time, chorus etc)
for all 4 instruments so they would appear to merge back together....like 1 big 4 panel CS80??

Finally, when individual instruments change presets, does it cause the other 3 instruments to "mute until retriggered" like on some other keyboards?, or does it keep the audio flowing through patch change events that are using the same 4 midi channels???
