Jupiter-8V 1.0.3
« on: June 12, 2007, 04:06:17 pm »
Hello,

I've made a quick update to fix a few bugs in the Jupiter-8V :
- On some computers, people were experiencing a bad sound, as when the cpu is overloaded.
- The synth was not perfectly tuned to the A440

This update should fix these two problems. Here are the link to get it :
MAC : ftp://ftp2.arturia.com/Jupiter-8V/Jupiter-8V_1.0.3.dmg
PC : ftp://ftp2.arturia.com/Jupiter-8V/Jupiter-8V_1.0.3.zip

Best regards
Nicolas

This update doesn't solve the KORE problem. Can someone let me know what's going on? If you need to, refer to the "J8 crashes in KORE" thread here in the J8 Technical Issues thread and also "KORE Issues" in the J8 General Discussion thread.
Thanks.

Could you update the demoversion to 1.03 too please, since i think i am experiencing exactly this problem? I'd just like to listen to it without this disto noise in the background before i am going to order it at my local retailer. :-)

Thx in advance

I would like to know the performance boost anyone may have experienced with the new 1.03 update. I have a 3.4Ghz pentium. I downloaded the demo yesterday and been having fun with this. Unfortunatly i cant justify the cost since my CPU spikes to 100 percent often. This causes distortion and the sound to drop out completely. If you have an optimized demo i would be happy to try this and see if my PC can handle it. Otherwise its going to be a few years before my next PC upgrade. :(

Thanks guys!

Hey all,
I too would really appreciate it if the demo could be updated to 1.03. I'm experiencing that noise problem also.
Wishing you satisfying music, nix

Fantastic! This update should be put in the update section on the main site. I was looking for this all day on the site, and it was here the whole time. Thanks.

I found work around but it still out of tune. It only happens when my session is created by 48K sample rate. The tuning is way hi, some where between Bb and A. And Protools crash constantly when I use the J8 plugin. Is ther some thing I can do???

Same here. Updates should be in the "Updates" section not hidden in the forum.

What work around did you find for the issue of Jupi disappearing in the RTAS list?

I updated to 1.03, but in the "about" screen it still says 1.02.  I even trashed the old version and installed 1.03, but still the same.

And it's still out of tune.  too high.

I can only comment on the demo version 1.03 but can report that the application does seem rather too CPU intensive.
I have found that I cannot even have one instance of the demo running - without any other VSTI's loaded in Cubase without crackling sound, glitching or hanging - CPU reports at maximum in Cubase.
I'm using a 3.0GHz P4 with 1GB RAM... and the system is optimised for audio work only!

I recently bought the Prophet V software and am very happy with how this performs in comparison.

I'd like to consider purchasing the Jupiter 8 V software but can't - at least not until there's a demo that I can 'demo' properly on my system.

... Hey guys (Arturia) do you think it's time to start a Beta testing programme for Jupiter 8 V?
Give me a call  :D
