Ways to export audio
« on: December 22, 2013, 09:02:24 pm »
What ways are there to export audio from SparkLE?

The only way I have figured out is in the "Library" view when you "edit" the current project and then drag'n'drop a single pattern. Quite cumbersome in my opinion.
Rendering an entire bank to audio somewhat works in that view, but once I drag'n'drop it, it turns out only the first pattern has really been rendered and the rest is silence (i.e. for pattern 2-16).

What I am looking for is to drag'n'drop a pattern/bank directly from the main view (i.e. the blue pattern buttons). On that view it is always rendered to MIDI despite the setting in the preferences saying "Export to Wav File".
Is there at all a way to do what I am asking for? Am I missing something?

Hi,
you can export audio only from the library view, sorry.
Concerning the bank audio export, this is a known issue of 1.7.1.
If you are willing to try it, you can download and install 1.7.2 beta which contains the fix for that one.

OK, thanks.

Is there a reason why it doesn't work from the main view? Are there any plans to change that?

I'd like to know why it doesn't work, too.

However, since this hasn't been answered more than three weeks after it was asked, I'm not terribly hopeful.

There are some technical reason I have not the time to expose here.
We are now aware of this problem and will try to improve it in the future.
