MicroFreak V please!
« on: November 23, 2022, 07:00:16 pm »
I got my MiniFreak last week and have a lot of fun exploring the new capabilities (The VST version is still not out, but I'm looking forward to that too). But I'm not letting go of the MicroFreak, because it still has some unique features (particular it's own Paraphonic mode routing through a single filter makes it sound different than the MiniFreak) and I would very much still wanting a VSTi version of it as well - a "MicroFreak V"! ;)

Now more than ever after experiencing how great the workflow with the combination of hardware and software is on the MiniFreak, I urge once more to give the MicroFreak the same treatment! I really want a MicroFreak V and I would even pay again for it! ;)

Interesting but I would prefer a MicroFreak Mk II with some fixes as stereo output and std midi implementation (allowing to set output volume by CC 7 as an example, + all other midi std implementation found in other synths as Waldorf or Korg).
Actually I am not interested by Minifreak, the midi implementation is still strange and the std CC as vol/pan/etc. are not implemented -even if I asked in so many forums from the begining....- and I need to control it by midi + missing wavetables & vovoder.

Good point... I wonder why these are not implemented (Midi Vol & Pan), but maybe the hardware is just not designed for it (well in case of the MicroFreak it has a mono output, so pan is out of the question there anyway. I guess it could added to the VSTi though and there are workarounds, when working in a DAW... )

Nonetheless, I think the MicroFreak and MiniFreak are really awesome little machines (particularly at their price point) and a VSTi version of the MicroFreak would still be high on my wish list, even if I have the MiniFreak V already!
