Use keyboard as independent controller (not tied to track)
« on: September 16, 2022, 07:56:11 pm »
OK.
I have a project where each of the KS'P's tracks are used to control external instruments (1-3 to MC307; 4 to Z1)....
How can I STILL use the KSP as a midi controller for my DAW without triggering the track output with it?

Is there a way to deselect/disconnect ALL tracks from the keyboard, as it seems there is in the 'connectivity/settings' video... and just play the DAW instruments?
I figured it would be as easy as clicking 'Control' --> sounds logical enough. But the keyboard is still tied to a track, and therefore is playing that track's instrument (Z1/MC).

Perhaps I need to view it as a 3/track 'sequencer' with 1 track MIDI controller?

Thanks,
Zevo

Maybe a better wording would be:
- Can you use the KSP as an INDEPENDENT DAW controller if you already have 4 tracks of sequencing on external instruments?
