Sound Designing in Pigments.
« on: September 15, 2022, 12:04:48 am »
I have a technical question about doing geometry-based sound design in Pigments. There does not seem to be a way to manually input parameters in the synth. In most other synths you can "right click to type" the parameters. Sure you can get close to the value you need but this can lead to unwanted things like out-of-phase clicks and other artifacts. I know this is not useful to most users of soft synths but some things need to be precise, such as drums.

I did read the manual and performed keyword searches in the manual before I came here to reach out for help.

Thank you for your time in reading this.

Hi,

You can't type values. As far as i recall it has been requested in the forums.
But when you on Windows use mouse Right Click or press Ctrl then you can finetune parameter settings precise dragging the mouse. There are similar methods on a MAC.
The main problem with this method is the risk for hand/ wrist pain issues from the small mouse movements.
