Clock Rate change with External Clock
« on: July 01, 2022, 12:49:25 pm »
Hi there,
I must misunderstand the following line in 8.1.6 of the manual: "....When locked to an external clock, the rate changes in exact divisions of time based on the incoming clock."
I thought, this is something new to me, and fantasitc - e.g.: Master Clock of another device runs on 120 bpm - turning the Rate knob of the PB (clock slave now) devides to 1/2, 1/4 or 2/1, 4/1 - something like that....

It does not do what I want it to do - my mistake?

You have to synchronize the control to the clock source. The LFOs have the sync buttons for that purpose. For other stuff (like delay time) you have to go through the menu.

yes Sytse, of course - not much difference to other equipment - somehow :-)
But my impression by wording was, that whatever you designed the sound to (all you mentioned and more) one just turns the knob and gets a complete change of "speed", similar to if the PB is master, but as slave.
Something I have never heard of it would be even work, without dropping synchronization, jitter or other unpleasant effects.
OK - whatever, I just thought I miss something.
