Increase volume on lower keys?
« on: June 30, 2022, 10:17:17 am »
I’d like to gradually decrease the volume of the keys while ascending the keyboard, so that bass notes will sound a bit louder than other notes. I tried mapping ‘key’ as a modulation source to the VCA, and this works as expected: it makes the higher keys louder and the lower keys softer. When set to a 100%, the very lowest keys don’t even produce a sound at all. However, when I try to inverse the connection so I’ll get my desired effect, the difference in volume is barely noticeable, even at -100%. Am I missing something here? Is there a fix?

You can decrease the volume of the higher keys more by accumulating mod slots with Key/Seq to Vca. That is, assigning Vca to several columns and then using Key/Seq at -100% for each of them.
