Control VST with Keylab essential - troubleshoot & issues
« on: May 24, 2022, 09:29:04 pm »
I tried and used some VST's but I can't seem to make it work.

Here is the preference config I have at the end of your tutorial :
(screen_1.jpg)

From what I understand with (screen_2.jpg & screen,_3.jpg) my keyboard is
sending MIDI information on :

- channel 10 for the pads

- user channel for the keyboard and the faders

I think I'm confused with the notion of user channel.

I then created a MIDI track as seen in the (screen_4.jp), set to listen to ALL
MIDI channels. I put on this track a VST (Addictive Drums). I then armed the
track and switched to the User 1 map (MAP PAD 3 MAP). I was expecting to get
some sounds according to the MIDI mapping in the VST, by pressing
either the pads or the keyboard but nothing came out.

On a side note, when I'm user the DAW MAP, and when I press the pause, forward,
record etc buttons, I get some blue and orange lights in the top right corner
(screen_5.jpg). I don't get any lights on the other hand when I use the pads or
the keyboard in user 1.

Thank you kindly.

Maxime.
