1) Unique, warm sound
2) No other company has emulated it
3) Very few companies could attempt a faithful emulation
4) Would be a cool tribute to Phil Dodds who rescued the Chroma from the ashes of ARP after playing the ARP 2500 on Close Encounters of the Third Kind
5) Bonus points for recreating the Apple II software that connected to the Chroma (a computer/synth combination in 1982? Yes!)
6) Current prices for a hardware Chroma in good condition are over $10,000, which illustrates the demand

Any more reasons to add to this?
